Explore photography in its original form in this unique six week course designed to teach the fundamentals of 35 mm film photography. In addition to learning shooting techniques, you will also process your own negatives and create photographic prints in Spot Five’s darkroom! The class will be comprised of lectures, demos, and guided weekly shooting assignments that will increase your skills as a photographer. If you do not have a 35 mm film camera, Spot 5 has rentals for a reasonable cost. Topics covered will include: basic camera operations, film developing, making contact sheets, printing enlargements, and compositional skills. Bring your camera and its manual to the first class. In addition, all enrolled photography students have darkroom access during open studio hours. Darkroom reservation required.
